Fam Breakfast
Today, mother decided to have a gathering with sister and I. Right away my mental state went to: Oh boy, intervention time. Though I don’t blame her as it will probably happen sooner or later. But I was able to be transparent on my vices and things I need to work on. I felt confident to let things surface from inside and what they needed to hear. I don’t really do interventions, but as I’m improving on things, I figured why not. Better to be open and honest than not at all. Afterwords I felt closer to them, and to my surprise they also confessed things they need to work on and mistakes made in the past. Never saw this coming but I guess that’s the power of vulnerability. There’s unexpected occurrences, the curve balls, the set-backs to leap forward discoveries.
We may have control over the outside of things. Yet in the same way, the inside is a mere representation of time, which is beyond our control, there’s a necessary trust and patience required. Maybe the better term should be forcefully patience. The time deemed right with my family over breakfast. I’m sure it will serve as another level of strength for us.
