I look up and it’s a girl. She is about 13yrs or 14yrs old, blonde, bright eyes and thin. I look at her and I say hello. ‘I’m sorry, but I saw you from a distant and wanted to come over and give you this’ she says. I looked at her hand and its one of those fake flowers that had an index card taped to the stem with a message written.

I asked what her beverage contained? Out of all the ingredients listed, I never heard of beets. She wasn’t well versed in the vegetable either, however it was a good source of fiber with other nutrients she explained. Her now kitchen-savvy-husband makes her these in the mornings before her shifts. After tasting one, my facial reaction wasn’t overly harsh. It savored that of a corn on the cob. I grew up with corn all my life. The only thing was this vegetable resembled a burgundy lemon size food.

Three things went south on that particular day. When stuff like this happens, it’s easy to throw it under a bad luck or karma bubble of sorts. Still not sure what to make of it, but the answer may come in time. Never resort to a final solution as I’ve learned in the past, it’s not what you think or what it seems to be.

We’ve all been there… cutting it close to reach the nearest available restroom due to all that coffee from the morning or from packing those beverages at the happy hour bar. Perhaps the bladder is not what it used to be that requires frequent stops.

Been some time since I’ve written… wow good golly miss molly. I’d be lying if I said the root cause behind my absence is due to the pandemic and adjustments that come along with it, but it’s just pure laziness if I were to be honest.
