Pavements

At times when jogging becomes difficult for me, I look down at the gray pavements with each step. Why? Because at some point, I knew it wasn’t about the pain; but moving forward. Counting gray pavements under my feet brings me to the present—it’s visible, it’s tangible, it’s real. Pain will be there, but manageable. We can always rise more than what we thought possible. And those pavements remind me of that fact. When the running shoes come off, I don’t forget the idea remains.

Life will be resistant, but thinking less and trusting more in yourself will transform the next footstep into the story you tell. True, life is about planning, but sometimes life calls us to put your heads down, shuts our minds off and find a way to move towards something greater.
