Pursuit
Today after lunch, things took an unexpected turn.
On my way back, I noticed the car in front of me swerving. At first, I thought maybe the driver was distracted—but then it ran a red light. That’s when it really caught my attention. I sped up a bit to see what was going on.
As I got closer, I saw an elderly woman behind the wheel—tiny, barely visible over it. I tried to get her attention, but she seemed more frightened than aware of what was happening around her.
For a moment, I considered pulling in front of her to slow her down and prevent an accident. But I was torn—I needed to get back to work.
I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
I hope she’s okay.
