Recall

Recall what’s ours to control and what’s isn’t. That nothing is so wasted as attempting to move the immovable or change the unchangeable.

Our greatest strength lies in recognizing where the energy is best spent—focusing our time, talents, and efforts on what we can actually control. At times, that distinction can be painful. But to fail to recognize it is to surrender oneself to delusion.

We can complain about the weather all day. We can focus on how inconvenient it is, how much one dislikes it, or how badly we wish it were different. But none of that will change the weather. Our time and energy would be better spent asking yourself: How do I adjust to what is? What can I do with the conditions I’ve been given?

I believe that’s one of the lessons life repeatedly teaches us.

There is plenty we aren’t happy about. Plenty we wish we could change. Plenty we wish had happened differently. But to remain trapped in that space is to forfeit something far more valuable—your strength, your agency, your ability to act.

Why?

Because there is still so much within our control. So much we can do. So much we can influence. We can always position ourself to move forward, to grow, and to succeed—but it begins with a simple act of clarity:

Separate what is yours to control from what is not.

Then, have the courage to release what isn’t yours and give everything you have to what is.
