Soar
There’s a rich man who captured this bird and locks it up in a prestigious cage. He fed it the rarest and finest seeds, gave it water, shelter, warmth, and everything else money could provide.
He gave the bird everything it could need—except freedom.
Day after day, the bird sat quietly, its wings folded against its body. Passersby would stop to admire its beauty, but the bird never made a sound. The rich man assumed that because the bird was well fed and well cared for, it must be happy.
Then, one day, the cage was accidentally left open.
The bird was weak from years of captivity. It had forgotten what it meant to fly. Beyond the cage was uncertainty: no guaranteed food, no protection, no promise of comfort. Yet the bird spread its wings and flew into the open sky never to return.
When someone asked the old man why the bird would abandon a life of luxury, he answered:
“Because to be free and hungry is greater than to be full and imprisoned.”
Only through the sky could the bird remember who it truly was.
