Windshield Wisdom
Here’s another interesting thing that happened to me the other day. I’ll keep this one short…
In my previous blog, “Note,” I shared how a young girl gave me a small flower with an index card in person. The message was simple, hopeful, and it genuinely touched my heart. This time, the experience began very differently.
As I walked to my car, I noticed a laminated note tucked neatly under my windshield wiper. My first thought? Great—another ad. Someone trying to sell me something I didn’t ask for. But as I glanced around the parking lot, something felt off. None of the other cars had a note. Just mine.
That moment made me pause.
Curious, I read the note, and it turned out to be unexpectedly powerful. These kinds of messages carry a certain weight—they’re driven, moving, and quietly impactful. If you can’t read it clearly from the image, here it is below:
“If you closely examine the space between the fear of being wounded and the desire to be seen, you will discover that love only has danger to those who guard against it. That it is not obtained by great acts of heroism, but let in through the aperture of time and ease, that it may leave before it returns to remain and surprise. For love is always wilder than you supposed it would be, and the great wonder is how it continues to hold as it continues to change.”

Come to find out, this appears to be part of a project started by an individual or perhaps a group of people. The funny thing is that the flower message from the young girl in my other post was found in the exact same location as this note on my windshield.
When I told a few friends about it, they were baffled. They said I seem to receive meaningful messages from random people at very specific times. I’m not sure what it all means—or if I’m reading too much into it—but it does make life feel a little more interesting.
I’m sure there’s more to the story behind it, but even the smallest messages can carry immense power. They ripple outward in ways we may never see—lifting spirits, sparking motivation, or even saving a life. In this lifetime, always choose love, compassion, honesty, and kindness. I’ve learned so much through the little things in life and made it a mission to apply it daily. Sometimes we forget not everything left for us is meant to take something away. Some things are simply meant to leave something behind.
