We can be determined and terrified at the same time, yet somehow the desire to try outweighs the fear. When we confront the unknown, we discover that it’s not always about performance—it’s about new beginnings, opening our eyes to what’s possible and taking that first step.

We fear vulnerability, looking foolish, messing up, and being judged. Doing nothing protects us from that discomfort, but it also keeps us from experiencing the victory on the other side. Our instinct is to avoid pain, but fear can be unlearned. Our minds race, our hands shake, our bodies resist—and we step forward anyway.

That is courage: stepping into the arena not for anyone else, but for yourself. Because you know there’s more. You know where you are doesn’t compare to where you can be. So dismantle the fear, spread your wings, and take the first step toward something incredible.
