Starting Over
There’s something incredible about starting over.
Not because we’re unhappy with who we are, or because the road behind us wasn’t beautiful in its own way. But because somewhere deep down, we know there is still much more. More places we haven’t seen. People we haven’t met. Stories we haven’t written. Dreams still waiting for us somewhere just beyond the horizon.
Beginning again isn’t erasing what came before. It’s simply turning the page. There’s an old Dr. Seuss quote: “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
And maybe that’s what makes life so beautiful. We are living moments right now that, one day, we’ll look back on and wish we could hold for just a little longer. The laughter. The ocean breeze. The people who mattered. The seemingly ordinary moments that, in the end, were never ordinary at all.
Life isn’t measured by the times we fell, but by the times we got back up. By the courage to look toward the horizon and keep walking. To keep dreaming. To keep becoming.
So here’s to starting again.
To dancing when there’s no music. To creating something beautiful one word, one note, one brushstroke at a time. To noticing what others walk past. To being light in the darkness and a voice in the silence.
Here’s to living on your own terms. Paving your own path. Writing a story that feels unmistakably yours. Because someday, when you look back, you’ll have a thousand things to remember.
But I hope “I wish” isn’t one of them. Not because of what life gave you. But because of what you chose to see.
